This exquisite pair of antique Indian teak wood and iron Jali doors dates back to the late 19th century (c.1880-1900). Salvaged from a historic building in Gujarat, India, these doors feature intricate iron latticework (Jali design) and original heavy-duty locks and bolts, showcasing their functional and aesthetic appeal. Traditionally used as a security measure while allowing air circulation, these doors are rich in history and patina built over centuries.

The total dimensions for both doors together are:

  • Height: 185 cm (72.8 inches)

  • Width: 106 cm (41.7 inches)

  • Depth: 7 cm (2.8 inches)

Their versatile design makes them ideal for various applications:

  • Feature wall décor in modern or rustic homes.

  • Grand entrances to walled gardens, patios, or terraces.

  • Unique shutters or partitions.

  • Props for film sets recreating historical India.

Each door has been personally sourced by a member of the Jardinopia team in Rajasthan, India, ensuring authenticity and heritage. While they show signs of age-related wear and historic repairs, these characteristics add to their charm. For outdoor use, we recommend applying a clear protective lacquer to preserve their colours.
